Lore[edit | edit source]

"A pure being, in which both strength of the new gods and a seed of the man from the prophecies come together. Never in the written history has there been similar situation. It is truly exciting, isn't it? We can expect great things from her." - The New Gods when asked about the Girl.

It is revealed by notes that a girl was tortured and had her tongue cut. It is believed that the notes talk about this girl because of The Girl's silent nature.

Attributes[edit | edit source]

Stat Starting Value
Attack 5
Defense 16
M.Attack 16
M.Defense 16
Agility 10
Luck 32

The Girl starts with the black dress (+1 Defense). She cannot wear any heavy armor (such as the iron cuirass and plate mail, although she can wear head armor and leather armor pieces) or shields.

Her choice of weaponry is extremely limited. She can wield the dagger found in the hidden courtyard (+5 Attack), a skeletal arm (+20 Attack), or the cursed version of her dagger (+35 Attack). The Girl cannot deal damage using her attack without a weapon. The Girl can learn any of the spell or skill scrolls found throughout the game.

The Girl can be sacrificed in a few situations: she can be killed in a ritual circle, fed to The Human Hydra, or sold to Pocketcat. She shares this vulnerability with the Demon Child.

The Girl is not a viable choice for a Marriage; if the player chooses to show love to her at the altars, she will refuse.

Allowing The Girl to die (but not sacrificing her) allows the player to use a soul stone to aquire an 'Ancient Soul'.

Recruiting the Girl[edit | edit source]

The Girl in her cage

The Girl can be found crying in a cage on the first floor, sometimes alongside a Prison Guard. If she is inside a room with a closed door, the game will tell you that you can hear a faint sound from the other side before you can open the door. The Girl won't talk nor interact with the player in any way. The cage can be opened with the Lockpick skill, a small key, or a red vial, which will cause her to join your party if there is room for her; she will not leave the cage otherwise.
